As Director of People, Louise is the heart of FORREC’s culture overseeing hiring, employee support, and cultivating an environment that promotes creativity, engagement, and growth.
Louise comes from a Human Resource, Project Management, Operations, Business Development and Communications background. She has everything a great Director of People needs; she has a passion for people and is a self-described professional development junkie.
With a degree in Communications Toronto Metropolitan University, a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation, and Certificate in Leadership Management and Critical Communications Skills from the Schulich School of Business at York University, Louise’s collaborative nature and extensive expertise helps build a strong HR presence and strategic communicative approach at FORREC.
Prior to joining FORREC as the Director of People, Louise worked at a non-profit called VITA Community Services as the Director of People, Culture and Communications. Her role was focused on people related strategies and activities including programs related to recruitment, retention, and engagement.
For fun, Louise loves the Canadian outdoors, especially camping, hiking, canoeing, and bird watching. Louise loves travelling and her most recent to trip to Costa Rica was full of ziplining and nature filled walks.
