LEGOLAND® Shanghai Resort has been awarded a 2026 Thea Award for Outstanding Achievement in the Theme Parks category!
FORREC served as lead experience designer for this fun and imaginative resort, the largest LEGOLAND destination in the world and the first to open its doors in China. We’re very proud of our team and of the devotion and true innovative thinking that they poured into this project.
Over four magical years, our team worked closely with many talented people at Merlin Entertainments, Merlin Magic Making, The Lego Group, Arcplus, Tongji Architectural Design Group, and more, to deliver the concept master plan, schematic design, and design development for the entire resort. In this moment we are also reflecting on our decades-long partnership with Merlin Entertainments and Merlin Magic Making, working together to create memories for people across the globe, and we celebrate their dedication to bringing this ambitious project to life.
