Hangzhou Bay Sunac Tourism City

Hangzhou Bay Sunac Tourism City is Haiyan’s 8-hectare Caribbean themed water park. FORREC created a master plan and developed the design inspired by an eclectic collection of Caribbean ports and seaside towns. We worked efficiently with the compact site, getting creative with the layout of pools and attractions to best accommodate guests. To create a truly unique experience, FORREC included mechanical wet rides, something more traditionally seen in theme parks, into the water park ride program to complement the storytelling and guest experience. These mechanical rides were amplified with water to suit the water park experience. The 290-hectare water park is currently under construction and expected to open in 2025.
