Aitken Place Park

Toronto, Canada

Connected by the Water’s Edge Promenade, Aitken Place Park is part of a growing necklace of parks that adorn Toronto’s new eastern waterfront. The park is designed to encourage relaxation and interaction with nature, and provides places to work, play and appreciate the site’s heritage.

The park embraces key sustainability principles including biodiversity, storm water retention, low energy lighting and a tree canopy covering a large portion of the park. Native species plantings provide year-round interest, reduce maintenance requirements and promote environmental stewardship.
