Dollywood – FireChaser Express

In 2003, HFEC reached out to FORREC to assess their existing facilities and operations to help vision a long-term plan to take Dollywood to the next level. After working closely with our client to plan attractions for other parts of the park, FORREC’s creative input was utilized for FireChaser Express, North America’s first dual-launch family coaster that literally puts guests in the hot seat. The ride is set in the 1940s and honours the volunteer fire brigades around the Smoky Mountains. Utilizing both fire and water, the coaster is a thrill-a-minute ride and has been a popular stop in Dollywood since it opened. It is also a sustainable creative adaptive reuse project, repurposing old structures of the former Adventure Mountain attraction and integrating it into the ride experience
