SkyTrack

FORREC was retained by New World to lead the entertainment visioning for their bid to develop this one of a kind destination in a prestigious location within Hong Kong. Part of this visioning included 3 major attractions.

Inspired by Hong Kong’s cultural dynamism, our vision for SkyTrack captures Asia’s insatiable appetite for learning and for experiences that move at the thrilling pace of urban life, and we invite the globe to take part. A one of a kind go-kart experience to create unforgettable memories and an incentive to return.

Working closely with K11, the Design Team for SkyTrack was led by FORREC together with David Terrien, a French racing driver who launched his career in Karting, competed in the International Formula 3000, the French Formula Three Championships, and 3 times world Champion including Senior Karting World Champion. The track is designed to accommodate all ages. During Family Hours, the design allows separation into 4 distinct tracks: adult track, kids track, baby track and private function track, all operating simultaneously. During adult hours, all the tracks can be combined into one operating track.

The track will have premium guest viewing and public viewing spaces along with arcade games, racing simulators, F&B program, retail store, multifunction areas and team interactive elements – an integrated experience that celebrates the fun and excitement of racing.

SkyTrack transforms the old-school car culture of motors and petrol into the new age of clean electric energy. Sustainability initiatives can impact the operating cost, microclimate, technology, and brand identity for a future-forward guest and high-tech racing experience. The indoor track is 678m length, plus an exterior link of 300+, which brings the total length to an impressive 988m. This will be the longest indoor leisure karting track in China and SE Asia.
